I used to work for the Guardian as a designer (2008 to 2010 or thereabouts), I met my husband, Stephen, through Guardian Soulmates (2012), I wrote a piece for the Guardian’s Weekend magazine when our first baby, Reuben, sadly died (‘Please find some words for me’: the conversations that helped after our son’s stillbirth, 17 August 2019), and now our next baby, Juno, aged six, has featured in your Saturday magazine (The kids’ quiz, 19 September). By chance, her question appeared a couple of days after our 10th wedding anniversary.

So now there is just our five-year-old, Toby, to go (he is very active in his submission of questions to the kids’ quiz), after which my Guardian life will be complete. Until I die, that is (hopefully not soon), at which point someone really should submit an obituary of my Guardian life’s work!
